Have you read the book Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead by Sheryl Sandberg? Well, that is where it started. One of our group members, Meagan Darrow, got fired up about the idea of "leaning in" to a man's world. Is that really what makes women successful? It lead to us exploring other questions:
What makes women successful? Why are more men in leadership positions than women? How can we help young women to access leadership positions and succeed in them? These are a few of the questions we asked ourselves as we embarked upon our research in our second year of graduate studies in The Evergreen State College's Master of Public Administration program.
