Lisa Harper is a communications professional with experience aiding in policy and budget development for government agencies and the legislature. She is currently working as a communications associate for the office of Governor Jay Inslee executing communication campaigns and coordinating the activities of the communications office. Lisa earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Washington State University and is currently working on her Master's of Public Administration from The Evergreen State College. In her spare time Lisa enjoys reading Stephen King, listening to NPR, cuddling with her cats, and running (especially challenge courses). Lisa and her husband attend the opera regularly in Seattle and have vacationed in Ashland, Oregon for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival each summer for the past 10 years.
Lisa's passion for women's leadership comes from her desire to improve the lives of Washingtonians. As a legislative nerd and for her job Lisa watches legislation designed to help women fail time and again in the legislature, something that wouldn't happen if more women were elected and if more women were in leadership positions. If Hilary wins in 2016 Lisa would gladly move to D.C. to be a part of her administration and help make positive change in women's lives across America.
